Everything that surrounds us has its name: the city where we were born and live, the familiar Street, in which we have made our first timid steps to the big world, the river, which gives us cool on a hot day. Everyone is constantly meets with geographical names. According to E.M. Murzaev: "It is impossible to imagine the life of the modern society without geographical names. They are everywhere and always accompany our thinking in early childhood. Everything on Earth has its address and that address starts with the place of birth of a person. His native village, street in which he lives, city, country – everyone has its name". Exploring the history of village Schapovo we went to the local Museum, and that's what we learned from its staff.

Manor Polivanovo refers to the historical and architectural monuments of Moscow. With the name of this village involves a lot of mysteries and legends. Some argue that the village was named after the estate owners Polivanov, who first mentioned in the time of Dmitry Donskoy. the founder of the family was steward V.A. Polivanov - the descendant of a Tartar, who came from the Golden Horde. But we decided to find out more about this family and came across an interesting fact: in the dictionary of names of Ryazan district said that there was a deacon of the village Mitino Kasimovsky County Vasil Polivanov (no relation), who got their name from the name of the village Polivanovo. There was a village with a name, and that name is from Deacon Vasil received Polivanov name. So it is safe to say that Polivanovo village couldn’t got its name from the owners of the estate because the owners could get from it his name. Another version about it we heart from tour guide of the museum Estates Polivanovo - Borisa Nesterova. He says: the great-grandson of a nomadic Michael Glebovich during the feast unintentionally poured again his coat by wine or any other beverage, so the prince gave him the nickname in jest watered. And from there came the name Polivanovo. Also, there is still an assumption that the village became known as Polivanov from the word "polevat", hunt, to be in the field. And, indeed, around the Polivanovo are forests and fields that can be hunted. Over time, the estate changed their owners. Among the former owners of the manor - Saltykovs, Apraksins, Razumovsky, Davydov, Dokhturov and Gudovich.
