Further on the same side there is a building with theatrical memories which once housed the State Jewish Theater. Its director was Solomon Mickhoyels who died in a car accident ordered by Stalin.
House No. 11 is Yermolova Museum. The pinkish building was bought by a famous lawyer Shubinsky, who settled here with his wife Maria Yermolova, an actress in the Maly Theatre. She lived in this house for forty years and after her death the house was turned into her museum. The famous portrait of Yermolova by V. Serov was painted in this house. Now the painting is exhibited in the Tretyakov Gallery.
To the left on the corner you can see the building of the Central News Agency, TASS. It is responsible for distributing information in our country.
